Why?I come from the spared rod, the leather belt worn only by wear
Not by whipping lashes, stinging whelps, or drawing tears.
I am the unbroken soft-boiled egg’s spineless shell
My guts are spoiled yellow yolk, my gall is sulfuric rot,
These all products of the spared rod.
I hail from the hand-out trophy awarded yet unearned,
A painted gold plastic player inches tall on a marble-high pedestal,
A mock of me that proudly I received and thought a glorious a thing,
Though signified it nothing but a mock of me,
The product of the hand-out trophy.
Oppositional Commonality Things opposed share more in common than they seem. No opposite opposes its counterpart without sharing at least one similarity, a truth to the very of opposition is counter. But how rarely a thing does appear as it is, or as it appears. Semantically speaking, opposites should seemingly abound in differences and be utterly deficient in likeness. So it is strange that terms opposing one another always, (not never), are greater in likeness than in difference.
To have two things that are opposites, as a logical principle of the nature of opposition, those two opposite things must be alike in form— a form is any finite thing that can be distinguished absolutely by definition (an art form). Let us now consider some common opposites: day and night, good and evil, past and future, for each opposite pairs are alike in form. Day and nigh are both conditions of the sun and Earths positional relativity
